When you discover the first murder victim spot near valentine, are you supposed to interact with anything?

I’ve rode by it multiple times and the grey dot shows up, but I can’t seem to get it to go away, and find the next.

I’ve only played online, and I know there’s a serial killer side quest, I assume it plays out like the serial killer Easter egg in GTA, eventually you find his hideout.
