What to call this flavor of music??

I'm trying to put a name to the genre of music I'm hearing in my head. It's the kind of soft synth instrumental that you might hear in a PG movie, 80s show, or 90s-early 2000s educational programming. I wouldn't say juvenile, but just calm and lighthearted synth instrumental with classical instruments thrown in sometimes.

"Synthwave" is a manufactured modern interpretation that doesn't get the vibe right. It adds flavors of lofi, dubstep, or electronica to it that I don't want.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
