blue feathers and claw marks

So in the reverent temple we see a few distinctive blue feathers and one set of large claw marks.

Then at doomwillow beach we find a large cavern with a lot of these same feathers and clawmarks and a interactible that tells yet another story of someone trying to bring a child back to live and them turning into a monster.

The thing is, after that, I didn't find any more of these things. And I don't think there is any female boss that has giant claws and these blue feathers. Did I miss something? Does anyone know what this is referencing?
