Refusing Naps 12 Months

My son just turned a year old last week and we’ve already been experiencing sleep struggles. My son is on two naps 3.5/4/4 with a bedtime of 8-8:30 depending on the time he wakes up. We also went cold turkey on transiting him from bottles to straw cups which means he no longer gets a bottle before his naps. That being said, we have struggled to put him down for his naps without a bottle. I put him in his crib but he just stands up crying or just talking. It takes him about 30 mins to fall sleep if I’m lucky. He doesn’t have much for a nap routine now that he doesn’t get a bottle. Any advice?
