Is the rec free for RAs over summer?

Gonna be an RA for the upcoming school year and was wondering if during training, starting next Sunday, I’d be able to use the gym. I know there’s a summer fee of $40 but was wondering if that was waived for RA. I actually live in the area atm and would like to use it now without paying if that’s possible
