Dog diagnosed with nasal adenocarcinoma, what kind of questions should I ask?

Advice

Hi all,

I have a 12 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He was just diagnosed with nasal adenocarcinoma after a biopsy was completed. At this time, he is on a Chinese Herbal medication to help clot any nose bleeds he may have.

The vet spoke to me about options (radiation is out of the question) with chemo and palliative care. With those who did chemo, did your dog's life greatly improve? What kind of questions should I ask the vet before going this route?

If you did palliative care (he did tell me the medication we would use, but I forgot), how did your dogs do? What kind of questions should I ask if I go this route?

He is my best friend and I hate this for him. He still has energy, is eating, and his poop is normal (he does have EPI on top of this so as normal as I can get it). I guess I just want to hear from others on the route they chose, what they should have done if you regret chemo, etc.
