Thoughts on shipping a PC internationally

Question

So I'm looking for advice this: I want to ship my PC from mainland US to Europe, and I haven't decided what delivery service to use or how to package it.

It's a pretty beefy computer, it's got a 1000w PSU and a massive graphics card, but I've got a liquid cooler for the CPU. I figure I can leave the pump and radiator in place since they aren't very large and are very securely fixed to the motherboard and case. I figure I'll remove the GPU and PSU since they're both very heavy (and I have the original box for each) and I can put those in a separate box from the tower.

As for the tower (phanteks p400) I don't have the original case packaging, but I could ask around the local microcenter to see if they have a box and packaging laying around. Im not sure how much effort I'd have to go to in order to really package the PC properly without the box, so any ideas on which shipping service does the best job packing PCs?

I've also got 2 HDDs but I could just leave them behind, I'm not sure they're really worth shipping seperately if it's not safe to ship them in the case.

Additionally, how risky is shipping internationally?
