What is chest sensation like after top surgery?

I'm scheduled for top surgery with Dr. Satterwhite at Align Surigcal in October. I'm very excited to finally have surgery, but I worry sometimes about losing all sensation my chest permanently.

Since there are so many different techniques out there that only work on small-chested guys, I've felt like it's impossible to find anecdotes about sensation for plus-size people with big chests, who had double incision and free nipple grafts. I've been told to expect my scars to go into my armpits, if that matters.

Does anyone here have thoughts to share about their sensation (particularly erotic sensation) post-op? My nipples are an important part of my sex life but I can't prioritze them over the overall comfort that the idea of top surgery brings me. Still, I'd like to have some idea of what I could expect--bearing in mind that everyone's body heals differently of course.
