Hmmm

I’ve ‘49 female ’ thought maybe my spouse ‘44M’ might be on the spectrum. Married 9 years . He does things like repeat the same (but honestly not funny) comments over and over (like every day says the same joke), and other behaviors that are a bit off. He works in a science field and is incredibly smart. Lately when we argue he completely shuts down, won’t speak to me for days. Avoids me after any sign of conflict. I thought maybe this is controlling and manipulating behavior but now am wondering if it has to do with a behavior of an adult that’s on the spectrum. He is an extreme introvert and he gets upset/offended easily about minor things and just shuts down like a child . I’m just wondering if these traits could indicate spectrum? Anyone have experience?
