.NET 8/9 or .NET Framework 4.8.1?

Hello to everybody! Quick question for those who use Sims4Studio: I upgraded to a new PC and was about to download a new .NET Framework for Sims4Studio, but there's a page to older Frameworks (up to 2022) and a suggestion to try a new one that is .NET 8 and 9.

Are they kinda the same thing but one's newer? Or should I just stick to the older frameworks? Thanks in advance and sorry if it was a dumb question.
