Thyroid Nodule TIRADS 4 AND 5
Hi, i did ultrasound yesterday and the result was
ULTRASONOGRAPHIC SCANNING OF THE THYROID GLAND REVEALED:-The left thyroid lobe appear not homogeneous with multiple calcifications is relativity enlarged and shows few small sized heterogeneous hypochoic nodules; with ill defined border, micro calcific foci within. Color duplex revealed mildly increase vascularity within and around the nodules. The
largest nodule measures = 7x5mm (TI-RADS 4) and small one showing
calcified wall
* The left lobe measures = 45x18x17mm
first how bad is it? second I am wondering why the doctor said it is TI-RADS 4 because it has more than 7 points!
Also , why he did not mention that it is taller-than-wider becuase it is 7X5mm that means the tall is 7
