Title: Passport Still With Embassy – Travel Is Tomorrow – What Should I Do?

Hi everyone,

I’m in a bit of a stressful situation and would really appreciate some advice.

I applied for a Croatia Schengen visa through VFS Global Oman, and it’s been almost 20 working days since I submitted my application. I still haven’t received my passport back.

I contacted VFS, and they told me my passport is still at the Croatia Embassy in Doha. My travel date is tomorrow, and I’m now unsure what to do.

Should I call the embassy first thing in the morning when they open? Will it help if I explain that my flight is tomorrow?

Also, does anyone here have experience with a similar situation? Has anyone gotten their visa/passport back on the very last day or had to reschedule travel because of this?

I’d really appreciate any tips or similar experiences. Thanks in advance!
