Full time working - commute to work and pregnant with second.

Rant/Vent

I think I just need to know if I'm alone in this or if a lot of us feel the same way, or not. I work full time with a commute and already hate the commute now and being far from my now 3 year old. And/Or running around with him to work/to babysitters (our gparents). I'm just down right exhausted. Just hit 20 weeks pregnant. And the micromanage stress of work I didn't sign up for is driving me up a wall. I'm having a harder time than I thought for getting a wfh/hybrid work accomodation. I'm really not trying to fight with my boss or cause tension because she is one of my best friends moms and don't want long term problems. I just actively want to be in my kids life and not some passive mom who works 45min away + 8 hours. Am I okay that I'm just ready to quit if they can't accommodate me or if the role never becomes hybrid (at the least). I've poured blood sweat and tears into the company and think they still don't value me, my time ,or opinion (almost 7 years here). I'm their Finance/accting person with no major active impact to make things more efficient or to make better financial policies. So feel I'm at a loss either way. Are my feelings validated to just want to be home with my babies now? I feel like a damn good mother when I'm with my kid. He's smart and emotionally intelligent and I feel like I make a better impact at home. Gosh being a working mom is tough.
