Africans: how are you sending money across borders today? We’re building a better way.
Hi all 👋🏾
I'm part of a small team building AfriX — a digital wallet that helps Africans send and receive local currency across borders instantly (like from Nigeria to Ghana) using blockchain-backed stablecoins and mobile money integrations.
We’re tired of seeing people pay $30–$50 to send $100 across African borders — or waiting 5 days for funds to arrive.
Instead of routing through USD or banks abroad, AfriX lets you:
✅ Send/receive Naira, Cedis, Shillings directly
✅ Use MoMo wallets (MTN, Airtel, M-PESA, etc.) to cash in/out
✅ Pay merchants or people instantly across Africa
✅ Skip FX stress with local currency-backed stablecoins
We’re starting in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Egypt, and launching a closed beta in a few months.
🔎 Question for you:
How do you currently send/receive money across African countries?
What’s your biggest frustration? Would you trust a wallet like this?
💬 Let us know in the comments — we’re listening.

Thanks for reading. Hoping to build something truly local and powerful for Africa 🙏🏾
