Is it generally agreed white light is trash?

For me white light is just a headache that takes me completely out of the atmosphere of demon days. It doesn't feel like it has any coherency with the rest of the album and is always a skip, I know it's meant to be rock but it just makes me wonder why damon thought the song belonged anywhere other than as a bad b-sides track. Am I being totally unreasonable here or is white light generally despised?
