Explain like I'm a biased Bloo fan why BAC's new closer ain't doing it for me

The "Interstellar" ending just isn't grabbing me like Glitch did last year — Glitch's color alignment and music was sublime, I thought. This is a me problem, for two main reasons:

* I'm a Bluecoats fan.

* I'm a filthy casual of a fan, and have never marched DCI.

I'm a big ol' beacon of bright and shiny ignorance, here, and I'd appreciate some sense getting slapped into me on this particular point. What makes that new finale so great that I'm missing?
