[Hobby] Hey! After two years of planning, I need a committed team!
Hey! So I’ve been working on a game for about two years now. When I say “working,” I really mean planning, along with some concepts on the side (music, characters, etc).
I’ve got a super great story which unfortunately I can’t put here in good faith knowing someone might try and steal it.
This game will be a 2D platformer, with some top down elements (dungeon crawler levels, walking around towns, etc.)
The theme is fantasy sci-fi, and the gimmick is realities are mixing, meaning levels can twist and change depending on if the player wants them to or not. For ex: kind of like grabbing the wonder flower in Mario Wonder. This causes the level to switch from something like a grassy field, to a forest overgrown with huge bouncy mushrooms the player can use to get up to higher places they otherwise would not be able to.
Enemies can be anything from walking blocks, to evil demon overlords.
You play as a mechanical guardian, whose sole purpose is to fix disturbances in realities, and to get rid of unwanted rifts.
I’ve worked tirelessly on this, and I’m at the point where I feel like I need help. I have been teaching myself how to do game design, character design, music, modeling, and even some coding. I may not be the best, but I know I have the heart. If there’s anybody who’s willing to lend a hand and join my team, I might actually cry tears of joy.
For me it’s not about how good the game does, or if it makes any money. As long as I can make somebody smile, that’s all that matters to me.
This wouldn’t be paid as I’m broke and this is more of just a really big and over complicated passion project.
P.S. I know I’m not the best at explaining things, but if you’re interested, let me know and I’ll explain it more in depth!
Thank you for your time, and I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
