Monitor size

I have a chance to buy a 40 inch 4K monitor from someone off of Facebook marketplace for $250 that moving out of the country. I just wonder if it’ll be too big. I have a big desk that’s 30 inches deep so I can push it back. Just wondering if anyone’s worked with a monitor that size. It’s a gaming monitor, but I can get it at a good price.
