ASUS TUF vs HP Omen – Which one fits my casual gaming + student life better?

I’m a B.Tech student looking for a laptop that balances portability, casual gaming, and everyday student tasks.

Here’s what I actually use my laptop for:

• Mostly YouTube, Netflix, and study videos
• Lots of coding (VS Code), assignments, and docs
• Gaming is casual – I mainly play Valorant and CS2, maybe GTA V occasionally. I don’t do 8-hour sessions, max 1-2 hours a day, sometimes longer on weekends.
• I need to carry it daily to college, so weight and design matter
• I want something that doesn’t look too gamer-ish, but still performs when needed

I was considering ASUS TUF vs HP Omen (Ryzen 5/7 or i5/i7, 16GB RAM, RTX 3050+). Here's my dilemma:

• ASUS TUF has better cooling and rugged build, but it’s heavier and bulkier
• HP Omen is slimmer, cleaner-looking, and easier to carry – but people say it runs hotter

Given my use case (study + light gaming), would Omen be a better choice? I’m leaning toward it for portability and design, but I want to make sure I’m not going to regret it long term.
