Dandruff

Hello, I am 15 and I recelty got a buzz cut because of the dandruff I had, after the buzzcut it feels like the dandruff just got tripled. Is there any explanation or reason for this? I use shampoo every other day when showering to avoid chemicals on my head but im not strict about this every other day thing. I dont brush my hair with a brush just with my hands and after showers I give it a little drying with a towel once and let the air dry it.
