Rent Increase of 3.02%

Hello,

I live in an apartment building as a tenant. This year, the municipality raised property taxes to a point where I suppose the building's land holders needed to increase rent past more than the rent increase guideline.

With that said, they've applied to the LTB to do so. The LTB has sent out a notice of written hearing, which outlines a lot of the finer points of "why" this is happening. It has given me and the other tenants a file number on the LTB site to submit evidence.

Now, what I'm wondering is if there's anything I can do personally to try and fight my increase of rent. I've got my PIN for the file on the LTB site, logged in, and I'm at a place where I can view and submit evidence: but the amount of info is overwhelming and I can't find any information or instruction relevant to what I'm trying to do.

I'd like to appeal my rent increase, as my rent is currently 52% of my income (not including utilities or anything else), and my wage increases are not keeping up with my rent increases.

Any information or advice will be appreciated, I just need a more solid understanding of where my starting point is, and what my options are if I have any.

Thank you
