Should I start a new channel or try to grow my current one?

Question

After seeing some of my friends get some mild success (getting monetized) I've decided to start making videos consistently and taking youtube fairly serious.

I have a channel with 503 subs right now, and like 2.8 hours of watch time just from my old videos (I haven't uploaded in like 2 years)

I've kind of screwed myself with the algorithm because I've uploaded a bunch of random gaming shorts and videos aswell as some real life stuff, but I'm going to shift to fully real life.

What should I do? Should I start fresh with a new channel (I've heard that new channels get a boost), should I rebrand my current channel and delete all my old videos, or should I just leave the old videos and start uploading the new content right now?
