Just want to preface this by saying this story is not for everyone and if you’re looking for fluff, then you want to avoid this. TWs: >!Abuse, violence, rape, forced prostitution, drug use, murder, suicide!< (none of which happens between MC and ML btw)

I’m so glad I finally read this, I couldn’t put it down and stayed up all night binging it. I don’t know why but I love stories that depict traumatized MCs and MLs who just want to save them and would do absolutely anything for them. >!but ultimately have to just watch in desperation as MC suffers because nothing they do seems like it’s ever enough to save them 😭!<

I haven’t been able to find anything that has been able to compare to Pearl Boy (my fave) when it comes to this. Since finishing it I’ve felt like I’ve been in limbo trying to find something that impacts me as much as it did. I love stories that are deep, emotional, and traumatizing (as long as they have a happy ending!! I can put myself through any trauma as long as I know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel lol!)

But Missing Love filled that void. For some reason I didn’t cry as much as I did with Pearl Boy, which made me bawl multiple times throughout the story. I only teared up a few times when reading this but I can’t even count the amount of times my jaw was on the floor. While Pearl Boy affected me more emotionally, this manhwa is so much more brutal. So. much. more.

I cannot believe or even begin to fathom everything Geom suffered through and the fact that he stayed alive through it all. He has to be my favorite MC in any bl by far. This man is so incredibly strong. I feel like I can’t even find the right words to do him justice or properly describe the hells he went through. I was absolutely sick to my stomach seeing everything he had to endure. And every time I thought it couldn’t get worse… it did. Oh boy did it get worse. My heart found a new way to break every chapter. And the fact that he can still smile after everything, ugh my heart 😭 I just want to wrap him up and protect him forever.

And Wooyeon! He definitely earned his way on to my list of favorite MLs. His love is so real and powerful. Yeonseo and Hong are also the best side characters 🥹❤️

If you enjoy dark stories and can handle extreme TWs, I do recommend giving Missing Love a try. It’s tragic, it’s haunting, it’s harrowing. But it’s so beautiful and will definitely stay with me forever.

Just finished [Missing Love: The Marrying Man] and….wow
