Has anyone ever used and stored a mini fridge in their college dormitory?

Asking this question because i’m thinking of spending less money on buying food as im trying to save money for future purchases and im thinking about cooking my own meals with a little cooking pot in my dorm but i dont know how do i store my vegetables and frozen food (if i ever have one) without ants filling my room as well as letting it basi. So i suddenly thought about getting a mini fridge to fill my veggies and frozen food from ants and let it basi. My room is spacious so should i get a mini fridge? we’re not allowed to bring any but meh idgaf. So now i wonder, has anyone ever used and stored a mini fridge in their dorm room? If so then how? What do you suggest i do? Id love to know opinions!
