Do trade tokens even exist anymore?

All I want to do is trade with my friend so I can finnaly get sparky but this game has literal no way of getting them. They are never in the shop for me I can’t get them in trophy road or in the pass it’s actually so stupid. It feels like the trade feature doesn’t even exist because I’ve been locked out of it for months
