My brother is manufacturing DMT in his bedroom

Throw away for obvious reasons (hi ozzy). Okay so this is going to be a long post. My brother has been experimenting with drugs since his late teens and now in his early 20s he’s obsessed with psychoactive drugs. He’s taken massive ammounts of Benadryl and other dumb (sorry) over the counter drugs to try and get a high. He’s struggled in the past with depression and anxiety and ADHD and has been on prescription medications to manage them.

Recently he pulled me into his room to show me his manufacturing process and the powder he made. He has four Pyrex dishes with liquid in them and it looks like the liquid is evaporating and crystallizing in each one. The end result he showed me is a kind of off-white powder that looks like sea salt? He said he used lighter fluid, pickling lime, vinegar and lime tree bark he bought online from South America.

I know this sub is regularly unhinged and not really the place for sound advice (sorry) but is this safe? Is this legit? Every time I try to google it I don’t exactly understand the results. Is there a test kit I can buy online to make sure he knows what he’s taking? The only thing that’s making me feel better is that he says he’s not ready for his trip yet because he has to be in the right state of mind and it doesn’t feel right yet. (Kudos to him because I know psychedelics/psychoactive drugs are all about vibes.)

I asked him to just send a text to me or our other sibling whenever he plans on ingesting this chemical just as a failsafe so we can check in with him after like an hour has gone by (I know a DMT high is fleeting, like 15 min). He said no way and that he wants to do it alone when no one knows he’s doing it. Chat at I crazy for being worried about my baby brother? I didn’t tell him not to or that I think it’s a bad idea but I encouraged him to buy a test kit and at least tell someone when he’s going to do it but he doesn’t seem worried at all. I trust him to make sound, informed decisions but sometimes he can be so reckless. Wtf do I do
