He says I’m stealing people from him and blames me for being successful
I’m married, and I don’t know what to do anymore. Lately, my husband has been accusing me of “stealing people” from him just because a few people started following me or supporting me online. I followed someone back and he lost it. He said I’m taking people away from him, that I’m getting attention and positivity while he gets nothing. He told me that if he sees me getting attention or support, he’ll block me.
He said he can’t even talk about me anymore because it makes him feel worse and gives me more attention. But at the same time, he says I have to talk about him on social media and always promote him or I’m not being supportive. He keeps comparing how much support we each get and tells me I’m the reason he gives up on things. He says I’ll probably be happier without him, and that he can’t be happy anymore and somehow makes it feel like it’s my fault.
I’ve tried to support him in every way I can. I’ve even reached out to people to try to help him feel better. Now I’m scared he’ll think I’m talking behind his back or “exposing” him, even if he wanted me to DM these people in the first place. I’m constantly walking on eggshells. It feels like existing and being seen is a threat to him.
I feel so tired and confused. I don’t know if this is something that can be fixed or if I’m just stuck.
