i need help with deleting or getting access to my hacked instagram account

Almost three years ago, I was really naive and stupid enough to put my Instagram login details into a sketchy-ass website that my friend (whose account had been hacked, by the way) sent me for some fake “project.” I’m just embarrassed that the account is still up, especially because it still follows people who did me dirty. I’m from a country where guys talking shit about a girl can completely ruin her reputation, and me following them—even though I didn’t originally—only fueled their nonsense. The dumbass hacker went and followed back a bunch of those guys who dragged my name through the mud, and it made things look like I was involved with them.

I even tried to reach out to this tech “expert” or hacker-type guy who’s kind of well-known for recovering accounts, but he told me there was nothing he could do and that I should report it to the police because it’s considered a cybercrime where I live. But when I actually went to the police, they didn’t take me seriously at all.

I just need help recovering it or deleting pls thank you
