Do I need a Boox on top of a Kindle?

So I already have a Kindle Scribe, and I use it everyday for reading and writing. It’s so good that I recommended it to a lot of friends around me, and they got it. However, since Kindle is not open source, I cannot download the Viz manga app, which I can just pay a small monthly subscription fee to read the manga I want. If buying all the manga I want in Kindle store, I would just be spending over $1000. Should I just get another Boox on top of my Kindle Scribe? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
