If a hiring manager says their looking at hundreds of applications per day how come no one is getting hire

It was at a job i was looking towards near my home.Ive submitted the application in apr 2025 and decided to call them last week and they've stated, the'rye looking at hundreds of applications per day yet ive always seen them put up there job every week.Is this a red flag for a job to do.
