Make sure you go to a specialist
Hey everyone, I just wanna remind you to please go to a board certified oral surgeon or Periodontist. My case was very simple, had healthy bone and gum and a general dentist decided to use me as their lab rat. He told me that oral surgeons charge more for the title and I fell for it. I’m having to spend so much money to redo a failing implant made from Bicon. A good surgeon is worth a splurge.
Also please ask your specialist what brand of implant they are using. Google “good implant brands” and you’ll see names like Nobel Biocare, Biohorizens, etc.
Don’t go to a surgeon who is not using a surgical guide. How would they know where to place your implant without one?
If you have an allergic reaction to titanium alloy, remember you can probably qualify for ceramic/zirconia implants. Ask if that’s an option.
As always, please do your research. If you’re reading this you probably already are!
