Just a quick thought on ch210
I think the bombing scene got a very visceral reaction out of a lot of us is because while the violence in the manga is surely extreme but i dare say borderline cartoonish or at the very least too cool to be shocking, aside from the death of power (to this day that scene scares me a lot due to how “domestic” it feels), the bombing on russia is not cartoonish, sure it’s extreme but we can agree that fujimoto wasn’t super subtle in that chapter, it feels…organized and methodical. Reminds me of when i was little and i would be told on january 27th (remembrance day for the victims of the holocaust, in italy it’s the 27th idk about you all) about the various methods of executions and mass murders and whatnot and how organized it was, if it was yoru herself ironically i would’ve understood, it is in her nature to crave conflict and destruction, but the fact that people planned, research, reinvented and tested weapons that can ANNIHILATE everything sadly reminds me how at the end of the day we are yoru deep down.
