Earthshaker mid - no aghs/daedalus?

Haven’t played ES in a while but I used to wreck house with the classic blink/aghs/bkb/daedalus.

Looks like higher ranks opt for Kaya+Yasha, Octarine, Refresher… upgrade travels/blink before buying BKB too.

Spell-based build is cool but is physical just bad now? I’m in the legend bracket and I feel like it’s easier to weave in and out of fights, delete backline supports, etc. than it is trying to get the team to play around ult.
