[STARTER STACK] The Underrated Power of Small Tools

Software is a weird industry: people brag about how many tools they use instead of how few. The truth is closer to carpentry—one sharp chisel beats a drawer of cheap gadgets.

Here’s the stack I’d give a two-person marketing team with two hundred dollars and two hours:

  • Zapier to glue APIs.
  • Make when glue needs branches.
  • ChatGPT Teams for language and logic.
  • Bardeen to click for you.
  • PostHog to watch users.
  • Segment to keep the data sane.
  • Snov to find and nudge prospects.

Build one pipeline that touches revenue (say, routing inbounds). When it works, layer analytics and personalization. Only then consider adding another tool. Growth is compound interest on focus.

Which two tools would you start with? Tell me and I’ll sketch a workflow in the comments.
