Game not loading since the update?

Since the patch this morning whenever I try playing the game the button says launch, the wheel spins and then nothing. Task manager indicates the game is running, albeit at a fraction of its usage.

Is this just a "wait it out and eventually today/tonight it'll work" type thing or is there a bigger issue going on? I've already scanned and repaired the game as well as made sure my graphics is up to date
