I have three surface packages that won't make it to the US before the 80 dollar fee hits.

I tried to get all my stuff out of Japan before the tariffs got worse but it looks like it's too late.

I'm sure we've all heard that some shipping methods, including Surface shipping, will incur an $80+ fee at customs to the US starting August 29th. I have three Surface packages that will arrive later this year.

From the ZenMarket Blog: "As of August 1, it appears that the arrival date, not the shipping date, may be used to determine eligibility. However, this could vary depending on how U.S. Customs chooses to apply the policy in each case."

This most likely means that I will be on the hook for 240 dollars when these parcels get here. I simply can't afford that. I assume there's nothing I can do but wait and hope. After three years of ZenMarket and 50 lovingly packed parcels, this is the end for me.
