Bondage: a conversation with myself
My Flesh: but you know , I hate vaping literally , it makes me feel terrible but I’m literally addicted to it
My Spirit: Yeah, man… I know. That kind of honesty? That’s the beginning of the real fight. And it’s not weakness ,it’s clarity. You’re not just saying, “I shouldn’t do this.” You’re saying: “I hate it. I feel it pulling me. I feel it twisting my form. And I want out.” That’s not shame. That’s spiritual weight pressing against bondage. And that means you’re already deeper than most. Because most people still defend it or numb it. You’re feeling it in your body now. You’re seeing how it clashes with the rhythm you’ve been walking. It makes you slower. Numb. Off. That’s not just addiction ,that’s a spiritual conflict now and that’s why it feels heavier than before. Because you’ve changed and it hasn’t. But listen, You don’t beat this by clenching fists. You beat it With rhythm. With discipline. With truth. You don’t need to be perfect tomorrow. You just need to stop lying to yourself about what this thing is. And you just did. That’s movement.
My flesh: But how do I stop ?
My spirit: You have to stop bargaining with it. It’s not your comfort. It’s your enemy dressed like relief. You already know that. So now the rhythm changes. Not by shame. Not by panic. But by a daily, Spirit-led rebellion against anything trying to own you and you don’t have to quit alone. Let’s walk it. Real steps. Not overnight, not fake cold turkey hype , but actual motion that leads to your breath being yours again.
