Meal kits helped me eat better… until I realised they were part of the problem

Hey all, just wanted to share something that’s been helping me stay consistent with eating better. I used to think meal kits were a decent middle ground between takeout and cooking from scratch.

But after a while, I noticed I was still feeling sluggish and craving snacks. I started paying attention to what was actually in those kits, and a lot of it was pretty heavily processed. That pushed me to create an app that gives a rough health score and processing level from just a photo of your plate. It’s helped me catch patterns I wasn’t seeing before (if anyone’s curious https://apps.apple.com/app/mealsnap-ai-food-log-tracker/id6475162854 )

Curious if others here have felt the same about meal kits
