So, what happened to Shiki in canon after Chapter 0?
In Chapter 0, Oda establishes that Shiki has escaped Impel down and plans to do something in 20 years, then he just vanishes?
Obviously, the real world reason is that this was hype for Strong World and Oda just liked the character so continues to use him, but given the amount of lore he's got since Strong World, it's just a bit weird to me that a guy with this big a reputation and also the only person before Luffy and co to escape Impel Down... just disappeared into the aether? Immediately after that legendary escape!!
It seems unlikely we'll ever get any modern day stuff with Shiki given he was the main villain of Strong World and I think that's such a shame.
Have there even been any hints in canon as to what happened to him? Have I missed something? Has anyone got a satisfying head-canon?
