Failed from Magic initial interview but…

Hi, I’m a bit confused right now. I recently applied to Magic Inc. last July and completed both the assessment tests and the initial interview. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the interview. So I moved on.

However, I just received a new email from them saying they’ve found a client for me. It’s been a bit of an emotional roller coaster, and I’m not sure what to make of it. Is this kind of situation normal with Magic? Thanks guys.
