Upcoming Surgery
Hey everyone, this subreddit has made me feel a lot better about my upcoming surgery.
Last week I experienced two attacks, Sunday was 3 hours and more mild than my previous attacks but Tuesday I was in the ER for 10 hours with nonstop pain. I met with a surgeon who introduced herself and the next thing she said was "you have tons of gallstones. Then showing me the ultrasound my gallbladder looked like a bag of rocks.
I've been really anxious about post surgery and returning to a normal diet as my wife and I are both really adventurous eaters and it's something we've bonded over since the start of our relationship. I've lost 50 pounds this year and I'm trying to stay optimistic that post surgery we can enjoy that side of our relationship again and the stories I've read have helped me feel a lot better about the situation.
So thanks everyone.
