Studying Engineering in Ticino - Job Chances in Zürich?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Swiss citizen and I’ve been living and working in the Zürich area for the past 9 years, and now I’m seriously considering going back to school to study Electrical or IT Engineering at SUPSI in Ticino.

The main reason I’m looking at SUPSI instead of a Zürich-based university is because Italian is my native language, and it would be much easier for me to study and learn in Italian.

My question is: How are the job opportunities in the Zürich region with a Bachelor’s degree from SUPSI (or other schools in Ticino)? Is the degree generally well accepted by employers here?

Language-wise: • Native Italian • Fluent in Swiss-German • English at B2 level (good enough for the Bachelor program)

Anyone here who’s done something similar or has insights into how Ticino degrees are viewed in Zürich?
