Need advice!
Hello, first time poster! I am a 2nd Grade teacher and have been for 5 years (taught 1st grade, so 6 years teaching in total). I got offered to move grades and teach kindergarten due to a teacher leaving kinder. I don't know what to choose and would love some input from teachers who have taught kindergarten. My admin has been so incredibly supportive and have told me they will let me choose and support whatever decision I make. Help! Each time I think I've made a decision, I get fomo of what the other grade has to offer. I've been told by my team and others at my school that I would kill it in kinder because of my demeanor but I'm scared of the change. I know 2nd, I know the curriculum, and my management is solid (I'm not perfect but it works.) I LOVE getting kids to read to fluency, and the confidence that comes with it. And 2nd graders are independent (or at least, I get them pretty close to it). But kinder also seems rewarding but I'd have to learn new classroom management and content. On the other hand, the kinder team is known at my school for being the dream team because of how collaborative they are. Any advice and personal experience is appreciated.
