Acceleration oddity

If I apply any throttle force while below 2000 rpm, the car “shudders” until it’s over 2000. Is this normal? I don’t really think so bc my friends E92 335 doesn’t do it. Exhibits this behaviour in all gears. If this isn’t normal, why is it happening. Thank you in advance
