how to turn off rain damage to machines

i'm so tilted rn

after having a transformer blow up in my face, which apparently doesn't drop any items so rip half of my power supply, i decied to move all my new expensive machines to my roof so i could isolate them.

turns out i forgot about the rain, and i come back to a completely empty machine wall.

this wouldn't even happen in real life since with insulated wires and machine casings its supposed to protect the stuff inside from short circuiting

this mechanic is so dumb which config file turns it off
