40 year old new skater, unsure which board to get

Turning 40 next month and as part of my midlife crisis I want to start skating. Only been on a board a handful of times as a teenager so starting totally fresh. I have no interest in any tricks for now at least, just something to ride around on when my family goes for walks in the neighborhood. Wife said she’d support this new hobby if I promise not to get hurt because at least it’s exercise.

I’m tall (6’3”) and don’t know if a longboard or cruiser is the right fit for what I’m trying to do. Dipper caught my eye initially, but I also like the idea of an ATV as a middle ground. Do either of those make sense? Should I start with something else entirely? Remember I promised I won’t get hurt!!
