Snorkeling?

Heading to Oahu in September. Wondering how much of a must-do snorkeling is? We’ve done it in Honduras on the mesoamerican reef which is supposed to be second to the Great Barrier. Just worried about currents and waves. I’m a strong swimmer and my husband is average but he tends to get a little panicky when he snorkels.

Thoughts/ideas/recommendations appreciated!
