Opinions and thoughts most welcome
Hi everyone. Sorry this is a long post, just need some support and advice Recently I had a day stay in hospital, For 4 days leading upto this, I'd get up, have my cup of tea, then read the news etc. Nothing strenuous. Then an hour an hour and a half roughly, I get this lump in my throat and burning sensation in my chest, it make feel sick, like physically heaving. I'd then go really hot and sweaty and the pain would be unbearable. This would only last for 5-10 minuted or so, but as these days went on, it got progressively worse. Leading me upto to the day I had to call an ambulance (sunday) I couldn't breath,my head was fuzzy, I had tunnel vision, my throat felt like.it was closing, I was literally dripping sweat and the pain in my chest I thought was going to kill me. Take me to today. I've been told its severe acid reflux, I've prescribed some lansoprazole 30mg to take in the morning, I've limited coffee and tea (I was a big drinker of both) but now I'm so scared of eating food. I love all foods and I'm not a fussy eater, buy now I'm eating beige food because I know it's not rich or to spicy. My brain is foggy (46 and peri menopausal) The meds seem to be working but I keep getting twinges in my chest and I'm so paranoid it's going to happen again. They did all sorts of tests, told me my heart was fine and lungs OK Does this sound right to other acid reflux suffers? Is this normal? Should I press my doctor for more tests? Any suggestions on how to stop feeling this way. It's awful 😖 Thank you in advance
