I need advice re: prep phase

So, in a series of unfortunate events, I managed to capture the 100th most powerful player spot. You would think that might be good but the preparation phase begins August 11th and I don’t have enough resources like speedups, forge hammers, and the like saved up. I have some, but not nearly enough to bear this responsibility!

Normally, if I have troops in the infirmary, my power appears reduced. Here is my question: Does keeping injured troops in the infirmary to lessen my power allow the algorithm to ignore me and have someone “bypass” my power to claim the 100th place? So, can I just not heal troops until the preparation phase and then I suddenly get stronger during preparation by healing my troops?

Also, in case no one bypasses me, does healing troops count as preparation?
