How to fund Masters degree?

student finance

Hi guys

I finished uni a few months ago and I was so stuck in life unsure of what I wanted to do and how to continue in life

Just my luck I came across a Masters of Science in Cancer that is PERFECT for me and Literally everything I ever wanted. Only problem? It’s £20K. I get why it’s expensive. It’s at a top uni, and you study and work alongside cancer researchers at the cancer institutes in London, and you even do a three month lab project there. It’s literally childhood me’s dream. I didnt even realise there was a degree in just Cancer until I came across this.

Back to my problem - student finance for masters is just under £13k. I’m not too worried about maintenance as I live close to London so I can just commute.

But I just genuinely don’t know where I would get the other 7k from, and the thought genuinely depresses me

My dad lost his job a while ago, and my mom doesn’t work, so whatever saved up money I had went to helping with the bills for a while

There was a bursary available for this degree but the deadline for that was back in May. I’ve just seen the degree now so I obviously couldn’t apply for it. The deadline to apply for this degree is at the end of August so I did email the financial aid office asking if it would be possible to get additional aid due to my circumstances and eligibility for the bursary but I have not received a reply

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do?
